WILCOX â Wilcox's starting nine hit early and often against Bradford Wednesday night.
All nine starters for the Wilcox American Legion baseball team scored a run and the team put together 16 hits in a 16-6, 5-inning victory over Bradford Wednesday night at Jones Township Community Park in Wilcox.

Tuesday's meeting of the Elk County Commissioners included the board's approval of a number of agenda items, chief among them was a $85,980 bid for a stormwater project in Jones Township.
Ridgway Township residents attended the regular township supervisorâs meeting to address their immediate concerns regarding a zoning ordinance that involves Marcellus Shale well drilling.
Eugenia K. "Jean" Ladouceur, 86, of 31 Mark St., St. Marys, died on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center following a short illness.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Henry and Josephine Hoehn Meyer.
On Sept. 19, 1949 in St. Mary's Church, she married the late Leo Ladouceur, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1973.

ST. MARYS â A St. Marys man has been charged with threatening his mother with a knife after he claimed she fed him pork, a violation of his Muslim faith.
