Dolores E. Alpaugh, 75, of 434 East Main St., Ridgway, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at St. Johns Specialty Center in Mars.
She was born Oct. 26, 1939 in Sayre, daughter of the late Harlen W. and Stella M. Earle Wolfe.
She attended St. John's Lutheran Church. She had been a Ridgway resident for five years. She was a graduate of Waverly High School. She was a Girl Scout and a majorette.
Edward "Skip" Ciroli, 102, native of Ridgway, died peacefully Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at Sarah Reed Retirement Center.Â This had been his home for the past two years.
Skip was born Jan. 12, 1913 in Ridgway, son of the late Battista and Agnes Plaster Ciroli. He had four siblings, Regina Piccirillo, Eva McGonigle, Evelyn Blick and Henry Ciroli, all deceased.
Skip married Clare "Tootie" Jefferson on Feb. 19, 1936 and they celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary in 2012.
Linda Lee Lewis (Kunes) Reams, 66, died suddenly Nov. 24, 2014 in Albuquerque, N.M.
She was born Jan. 30, 1948 and lived in Ridgway until the late 1970s. She married Dennis Kunes in June 1967 and had three daughters.
Linda was an avid collector and spent a lot of time and love in crocheting afghans for her family. She loved her dog, Maxx, and playing bingo. Linda loved the holidays, especially Christmas where she took great care in a beautiful Christmas village.
Roger Albert Padasak, 82, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 590 Walnut St., St. Marys, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at Elk Haven after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 14, 1933 in Wilcox, son of the late Peter and Antonia Feikles Padasak. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Wilcox Schools. He was a retired employee of the Keystone Carbon Company, retiring in 1995 after 28 years of service.
On July 13, 1957 in the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, he married his loving wife, Elizabeth â€śDeloresâ€ť Mishenko, who survives.
Alice E. Rigard, 96, of 515 North St. Marys Rd., St. Marys, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Pinecrest Manor following a short illness.
She was born June 20, 1918, daughter of the late Joseph Hannibal and Genevieve Geitner Hannibal Wilhelm.
On Jan. 18, 1937 in Olean, N.Y., she married Francis A. Rigard, who preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1979.
Catherine M. Overturf, 99, of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Ridgway, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born Feb. 28, 1915 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Lucie Ricardo Piccirillo. She married Walter Overturf, who preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1992.
She resided most of her life in Ridgway. Mrs. Overturf was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Ridgway S.O.I. She was a graduate of St. Leo's High School.
Eugene Graebner, 90, of Santa Fe, N.M., and formerly of Johnsonburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015.
He was born Oct. 27, 1924 in Fair Oaks,, son of the late Eugene F. Graebner and Elsie Storz Graebner. He graduated from Leetsdale High School in 1942.
Mr. Graebner served in the United States Navy for three years during World War II. He was commissioned Ensign in 1945 at Midshipmanâ€™s School at Columbia University in New York City. He served in the Amphibious Forces, Pacific Fleet, aboard LCT 1462 and LST 865.
Yvonne B. Oertly, 81, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 133 Hayes Rd., Kersey, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk after a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 10, 1934 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Walfred and Henrietta Yarick Holmquist. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School, Class of 1951.
On Jan. 17, 1953 in the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church, she married Clifford R. Oertly, who survives.
James M. Hoyt, 73, of 39738 State St. in Ridgway, died Saturday morning, Jan. 17, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born July 30, 1941 in Jamestown, N.Y., son of the late John J. and Margaret (Taraska) Hoyt Sekelsky.
He married Beverly J. Pontious on June 19, 1965.
He had resided in Ridgway for the last 50 years, and he was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church and a past K of C member.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards and polka music.
He had served in the U.S. Navy, and he was a peacetime veteran.
Kimberly Ann Spicer, 45, of Marienville, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born July 8, 1969, in Erie. On June 24, 1989, in Kane, Andy Spicer and Kimberly wed. She was the daughter ofÂ Robert and Lavina Curtis Carlson of Kane.
Kimberly was a medical assistant for the Warren Medical Group. She was a member of the Word of Grace Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Tionesta.
