Additional charges filed in meth probe

Additional charges were filed Tuesday afternoon regarding a recent methamphetamine probe in Johnsonburg and St. Marys.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed Tuesday, March 20 in the office of Magisterial District Judge Mark S. Jacob of St. Marys, additional felony drug charges have been filed against 39-year-old Jason Jude Smith of 532 Kerner Ave., St. Marys.
Smith faces two felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; one felony count of conspiracy - manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; a first-degree felony charge of dealing in unlawful proceeds; a third-degree felony charge of criminal use of a communication facility; and two misdemeanor counts each of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Smith was arraigned Tuesday, March 20 at 2:40 p.m. before Judge Jacob in St. Marys. With other cases still pending, bail in this case was set at $100,000.
