February 1, 2013

A 12-member jury after two hours of deliberation acquitted Francis Anthony Milliard, 55, of Ridgway, on 12 counts of arson, insurance fraud, and related offenses stemming from a Dec. 4, 2008 fire at his 115 First Ave. property in Johnsonburg. Milliard said he "absolutely [felt] vindicated by the verdict" as he has steadfastly maintained his innocence since his arrest and incarceration in July of 2012.
