Charles R. Cover III

Charles R. Cover III, 61, of 101 N. Mill St., Ridgway, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at his residence. He was born Feb. 25, 1951, in St. Marys, the son of the late Charles R. and Frances Luchs Cover Jr.
Mr. Clover was a longtime Elk County resident. He attended Johnsonburg High School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Chef Charles, as he came to be known, was a highly regarded chef. Over the years he worked all over the region. He owned and operated the Elms Restaurant in Elmira, N.Y.; he worked at the Willows and Howard Johnson's in Bradford; the Carolina Country Club in Raleigh, N.C.; and locally he worked at The Royal Motel, Aiello’s Restaurant, Flaming Embers, Treasure Lake, and the Ridgway and St. Marys country clubs. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by a sister, Denise, of New Jersey.
Funeral services for Charles R. Cover III will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home.
