The Elk County Commissioners recently provided the Ridgway Volunteer Fire Department with a grant totaling just under $10,000 for a new BullEx Intelligent Training System which will aid in public education concerning fire extinguisher use. The training system is reportedly the only of its kind being utilized in this area of Pennsylvania.
"We are so, so grateful for this," said RVFD member Ray Imhof.
The grant from the county was made available through Act 13 funding.
