A statue and cross are now firmly in place on the side of St. Leo Magnus Roman Catholic Church as part of the restoration project undertaken a few years ago.
"It's actually a project that was a result of our planning two years ago when we did the renovations to the church, and we had done work on the outside as well," said Father Brian Vossler, pastor of St. Leo's Church. "We first had to fix the wall and put in a new sidewalk for two of the statues, and then with the final statute, we were able to lay down a foundation for the cross and the statue itself. It took us a while to get all of that in but it's not something new so to speak, it was something that we had planned all along and we were finally able to accomplish that."
