Crotzer responds to Corbett's announcement

February 12, 2012

JOHNSONBURG – Following Gov. Tom Corbett's announcement of the budget on Tuesday, Feb. 7, Johnsonburg Area School District Superintendent Dennis Crotzer expects the district to not receive new revenues for the upcoming year.
"Mrs. [Patricia] Calkins and myself are studying the changes on how the funding from the State will come to the school district," Crotzer said.
"I believe we will not be receiving any new revenues, but again we must study the changes more thoroughly.
"We will continue to do everything possible to provide a quality education for our students even if the funding is decreased."
Crotzer said the school district will continue to do the job they have always done.
"It will just be a little difficult with the funding the way the State is," Crotzer said. "They [state government officials] are moving line items and everything else so it is a little hard to get a hand on it right now, but we are working on it and we will keep the board informed of what our outcomes from that are."
