Dennis A. Dinsmore

Dennis A. Dinsmore, 80, of 547 Church St., St. Marys, died on Friday, March 4, 2011 at DuBois Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born July 21, 1930 in Kersey, a son of the late Frank and Gertrude Schneider Dinsmore.
On Jan. 25, 1958 in St. Mary's Church, he married the late Martha Garnic Dinsmore, who preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 2008.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church. He graduated from SMAHS, Class of 1948, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1954 during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after more than 42 years of service. 
He was a member of the St. Marys Beagle Club and the American Legion. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his dogs. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Denis Dinsmore and his wife Joanne of St. Marys, and Doug Dinsmore of Hallton; two daughters, Debra, Mrs. Andy Weinzerl of St. Marys and Denise, Mrs. Jim Wehler of St. Marys; five grandchildren; two sisters, Clarice Dinsmore of St. Marys and Lucille Goodreau of El Segundo, Calif.; and a brother, Frank Dinsmore and his wife Georgia of St. Marys.
In addition to his parents and his wife of 50 years, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John Dinsmore; and four sisters, Audrey Bauer, Shirley Johnson, Monica Martin and Trudy Dinsmore
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dennis A. Dinsmore will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 139 Church St., St. Marys, on Monday, March 7 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Full military honors will be conducted by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.
