Dora M. Surra

Dora M. Surra, 82, of 116 Zola Rd., Kersey, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born June 6, 1928 in Coal Hollow, daughter of the late Antonio and Julia Gornati Cesa. On July 26, 1947, in the Guardian Angels Church in Coal Hollow, she married Leo J. Surra, who preceded her in death on March 31, 2000.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey schools. She was a retired employee of the Riverside Market.
She was a member of the St. Boniface Church, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, worked the funeral dinners at the church and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Paulette (Mrs. Arthur Geyer Sr.) of Johnsonburg; two sons, Leo (Dave) Surra and his wife Jackie of Kersey and Terry L. Surra and his wife Marcy of Kersey; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judith Carnasali of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Rodd and Regina Gatto; and by four brothers, Gilindo Cesa, Gilio Cesa, Ray Cesa and Geldo Cesa.
Family and friends of Dora M. Surra are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Monday, March 21 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Faluszczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
