DuBois topples Junior League Elk County All-Stars, 6-3, in tournament opener

June 29, 2014

Neil MacDonald prepares to throw a pitch Saturday afternoon in Wilcox as the Junior League Elk County All-Stars took on DuBois.

WILCOX – DuBois took advantage of several costly mistakes Saturday afternoon in a 6-3 win over the Elk County All-Stars in the Junior League.
Down 2-0 early in the game, DuBois got three runs with two outs in the home half of the second inning to take the lead.
Jack Mohney worked a two-out walk to put a runner on base, and Buddy Lines followed with a single to left center field to put runners at the corners. A bloop single from Coy Donahue to center field, just past the shortstop's glove, plated Mohney and cut the lead to a run.
