Sam Delhunty of Ridgway fights for position against Zach Bruce of Cranberry during the 182-pound District final Saturday night at Clarion University.

CLARION – Ridgway wrestling will send three wrestlers to the Northwest Regional Championships after the conclusion of the District 9 Individual Wrestling Championships Saturday night at Tippin Gym on the campus of Clarion University.
Drew Baumgratz (120), Dalton Sheasley (170) and Sam Delhunty (182) qualified for the Elkers.
"One of those things where the kids continually improved as the year went on and they showed it today and this whole weekend," Ridgway coach David Fordoski said. "The future's bright, the kids are working very hard. I couldn't be happier with not just the three that made it to regionals but the ones that came down here and got their first win down here, first time they got to wrestle here. We had four in the semifinals which was really exciting."
