Eugenia K. "Jean" Ladouceur

Eugenia K. "Jean" Ladouceur, 86, of 31 Mark St., St. Marys, died on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center following a short illness.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Henry and Josephine Hoehn Meyer.
On Sept. 19, 1949 in St. Mary's Church, she married the late Leo Ladouceur, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1973.
Mrs. Ladouceur was a member of St. Mary's Church and a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1944. She worked at the Bavarian Inn for a number of years as a housekeeper. She volunteered for the Girl Scouts and was also a troop leader. She was faithful and true to all who knew her and she always tended to the needs of others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann, Mrs. Dennis Schaut, Rochester, N.Y., Susan, Mrs. Thomas Bricen of Weedville, and Christine, Mrs. William Ward of Middlefield, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Jeremy (Mike) Schaut, Jean (Vincent) Verhagen, Carrie (Dustin) Robins, Amy (Jesse) Ayer, Christopher Schaut, Emily (Kevin) Hoch, Cole (Emily) Bricen, Michael (Michelle) Nesbitt, and Corey Nesbitt; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Meyer and his wife Joan of Silver Springs, Md.; a sister-in-law, Marion Meyer of Charlotte, N.C.; her goddaughter, Mary Jo Goetz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Nesbitt, who preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2005; two brothers, Henry and John Meyer; and a sister, Edith Bayer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eugenia K. "Jean" Ladouceur will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Saturday, June 22 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, O.S.B., as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m.
