Fiorina Aiello

Fiorina Aiello, age 78, of 221 Mill St., Johnsonburg, died Wednesday afternoon, March 14, 2012, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 29, 1933 in Reggio Calabria, Cannolo, Italy, daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Staltare Siciliano. On Oct. 11, 1958, in Welland, Ontario, Canada, she married Carmen Aiello; he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2004.
Having attended school in Italy, she resided in Johnsonburg since her marriage and had previously lived in Welland, Ontario, Canada since 1955. Mrs. Aiello was an environmental activist, seamstress and homemaker, and a member of Holy Rosary Church.
She is survived by one son, Anthony C. "Tony" Aiello of Johnsonburg; two daughters, Josephine M. Aiello of State College, and Gina Aiello of Johnsonburg; three grandchildren, Krysta M. and Kaylie Fitch, and Daniel Aiello; one great-grandchild, Gage Aiello; one sister, Italia Prudenzino of Ontario, Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews living in Canada, Italy, and South America.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; two brothers, Rudolpho and Benito Siciliano; four sisters, Costanza Siciliano, Argentina Solomon, Pina Cremalu and Rina Dematree; and six brothers and sisters in infancy.
Friends and family of Fiorina Aiello are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for to be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
