Girls golf edged by DuBois

Ridgway girls golf had a team score of 247 in its home finale Tuesday at Laurel Mill Golf Course.
Senior Brittanei Neubert led the Lady Elkers with a 55. Selena Scarnati had a 58 and Sierra Kos carded a 62. Christine Schauer finished at 72 and Sarah Szczotka finished at 78.
Shannon Truesdale led DuBois with a 51. Corey Pruzinsky was second at 55. Kelly Nowak had a 67 and Katie DeAngelo finished at 70.
Punxsutawney had the lowest score of the six-team field, finishing with a 222.
Truesdale of DuBois was the medalist with her score of 51.
Scarnati and Neubert, both seniors for Ridgway, were recognized by the team. Ridgway will compete at Brockway for a match Thursday and then the two seniors will compete at the District 9 girls golf championship Monday at Kane Country Club.
