Grace M. Foster

Grace M. Foster, 90, of 256 JT Lane, Wilcox, formerly of 219 Elk Ave., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday evening, June 3, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, following a short illness.
She was born Oct. 4, 1923 in Kane, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Schenaback Thayer.
On June 11, 1955 in St. Callistus Church, Kane, she married Maurice P. Foster. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1994.
She resided in Johnsonburg since her marriage in 1955 and attended Kane Area High School.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. She loved her family and her grandchildren, and she loved being a homemaker and baking.
She had been employed by the Holgate Toy Company of Kane.
She is survived by a son, Robert F. Foster of Wilcox; two daughters, Patricia A., Mrs. James Huber of Warren, and Sharon, Mrs. Kevin McCawley of Henderson, Nev.; six grandchildren, Joseph and Pamela Roseto, Mark Huber, Mary Jo Fry, Rachel Foster and Julie Schreiber; and five great-grandchildren, Michael and Taylor Roseto, Shane Fry and Ryan and Madalyn Huber.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Roseto; two brothers, Robert and Wallace Thayer; one sister, Pearl Smith; and a great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace M. Foster will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
