Herbstritt wins javelin at Kane Invitational

CJ Herbstritt is pictured at the top of the podium during Saturday’s Kane Invitational. The senior won the javelin with a throw of 159-6. Fifteen schools attended the event and enjoyed near perfect conditions.

The Johnsonburg boys track and field team took part in the Kane Invitational held Saturday.
Johnsonburg finished 12th in the team standings with 18 points. Kane was the overall boys team champion with 108 points. Punxsutawney was second with 72 points and Elk County Catholic took third with 48 points. Brookville finished fourth at 44 points and Oswayo Valley placed fifth with 42 points.
CJ Herbstritt was the javelin winner for Johnsonburg with a throw of 159-6. Teammate Eric Bevacqua was fifth with a mark of 145-1.
