Himes takes fourth at regionals

March 4, 2013

Brett Himes locks up with Mason McCollum of Reynolds during quarterfinal action. Himes won a 3-1 decision to advance to the semifinal.

SHARON – Brett Himes of Ridgway finished fourth at 126 pounds at the Northwest Regional Wrestling Championships which finished up Saturday at Sharon High School.
"I'm not ashamed of anything he accomplished," Ridgway coach David Fordoski said. "He accomplished more than anybody could have ever dreamed. Even if you lose, he was in it and that's a memory that he'll never forget. Being so close to being able to make it to states, kids would give anything to be in his shoes. He did the best he could when he had his chance. I'm really proud of him."
