James B. Sheasley

James B. Sheasley, age 79, of 1438 Montmorenci Rd., Ridgway, died peacefully Friday morning, Feb 4, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 21, 1931 in Plumcreek Township, son of the late Walter E. and Sarah J. (Miller) Sheasley. He was married to Josephine (Pangallo) Sheasley for 58 years, she survives. He had resided in Ridgway for many years and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ridgway Fire Department-Montmorenci Area Fire Co. #44, the Food Bank, and the Hit and Miss Engine Club. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed by National Fuel for 25 years.
Surviving besides his wife are four children, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four brothers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by twin sons at birth and one brother. Funeral services will be private. There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Ridgway Fire Department-Montmorenci Fire Co. #44, the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, or to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
