June 7, 2013

Johnsonburg players celebrate after a 7-6 win over Bishop McCort.

PUNXSUTAWNEY – It was an extra special winning moment for Quinn Luhr in the PIAA quarterfinal.
After keeping Johnsonburg baseball even with Bishop McCort, Luhr's RBI single in the bottom of the 11th helped the Rams to a 7-6, 11-inning victory over the Crushers Thursday at Rich Kuntz Memorial Field in Punxsutawney.
The win means there will be a new state champion in Class A baseball as Bishop McCort took the title for the 2012 season.
