Johnsonburg girls track and field takes team title at Kane

The Johnsonburg girls were named Kane Invitational AA Champions, defeating the hosts 126-97. Chelsea Benson was named the AA Girls Outstanding Track Performer and the girls 400 meter relay team broke the invitational record with a time of 50.73.

The Johnsonburg girls track and field team took the team championship at the Kane Invitational held Saturday afternoon at Kane High School.
Johnsonburg won the girls team event with a team score of 126 points. Kane was second at 97 points while Elk County Catholic was third with 81 points. St. Marys finished fourth with 51 points and Punxsutawney rounded out the top five with 37 points. A total of 15 teams competed.
