Joseph M. Redmond Jr., 30, of Kaul Avenue, St. Marys, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at his home.
He was born Feb. 5, 1980 in Ridgway, the son of Joseph M. Redmond Sr. of Wilcox and Kimberly (Erickson) Himes and her husband, Glenn Himes of Altoona, who survive.
Joseph lived most of his life in Johnsonburg except for the past year, when he lived in St. Marys. He attended Johnsonburg High School and worked at GKN of Emporium. He was a Catholic by faith.
He was a member of Wilcox Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed playing poker and loved animals, especially the family dogs.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Anna Anderson of St. Marys; his daughter, Kayleen of St. Marys; maternal grandmother Jayne Erickson of Johnsonburg; paternal grandmother     Dorothy Redmond of Wilcox; a sister, Jaymie Redmond and her partner, Dave Cuneo of Penfield; a brother, Jayson Redmond and his partner, Alicia Renaud of St. Marys; a stepbrother, Stephen Asti of Texas; two nephews, Eli and Jay Michael Redmond; several aunts and uncles, Jeff and Janis Sample of Kane, Carlette and Jim Brocious of Colo.; Joe and Nubia Erickson of Fla., Steve and Kim Erickson of Ariz., Kelly and Art Benson of DuBois; and by numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Carley Erickson and Thomas Redmond.
Funeral services for Joseph M. Redmond Jr. will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Ubel Funeral Home in Johnsonburg, with Father David Wilson officiating. 
Visitation will take place Friday, Oct. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home.
