Lady Crusaders defeat Ramettes

December 12, 2013

Johnsonburg's Chelsea Benson, 12, goes in for a layup while facing pressure from Elk Catholic's Maddy Schneider, 4, during Wednesday evening's game at ECCHS. Benson led all scorers with 20 points.

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders improved to 3-0 on the young season with a 62-31 victory over the visiting Johnsonburg Ramettes on Wednesday evening at ECCHS.
"We played a pretty good game tonight after playing pretty poorly against Kane (on Monday)," said ECCHS head coach Ken Pistner. "We started off a little slow again, but I thought our defensive pressure was really good and our rebounding was good tonight."
ECC led 15-7 after the first quarter, 31-18 at the half, and 43-24 after three.
