Lady Elkers fall to Lady Cardinals

DuBois Central Catholic basketball led throughout in a 58-18 win over Ridgway Friday night at Ridgway Area High School.
After a scoreless opening two minutes, DCC would take control early with a 12-0 run against the Lady Elkers. Kylee Schaffer opened the game with a bucket and Jordy Frank followed with a transition layup off a steal at midcourt for a 4-0 lead. Schaffer added another hoop in transition for the Lady Cardinals before Stephanie Rossi would take a steal for a layup to increase the lead to 8-0. Schaffer and Kasey Baronick would add consecutive field goals as DCC led 12-0 with 3:08 left in the first quarter.
