Larry M. Stark

Larry M. Stark, 75, of Grant Road, Ridgway, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Elk Regional Health Center, following a brief illness. He was born Oct. 19, 1935, in Ridgway, the son of Melvin and Louise Balmer Stark. On July 21, 1956, he married Virginia M. (Ginger) Boults of Johnsonburg, she survives. Mr. Stark was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and a member of the Faith United Church of Christ. He served with the US Army National Guard Company L 112th Infantry from 1954 until 1957. He was a longtime employee of Ridgway Steel Fabricators before assuming ownership of the Stark Family Dairy Farm along Grant Road. After retiring from the dairy business, he operated Larry Stark Logging for several years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four children; Debbie (Randy) Baloga, Larry Jr. (Heidi), Steve (Missy) and Kathy (Mike) Feldbauer, all of Ridgway. Mr. Stark had 12 grandchildren: Brian Viglione, Jody and Mike Baloga, Teddi, Kelsey, and Perri Stark, Mason and Mitchell Stark, Tyler and Dusty Stark, and Stevie and Nikki Feldbauer; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Betty (Bill) Walsh of Richland, Wash. and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Jack Stark.
Funeral and committal services for Larry Stark will be held on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Ronald Burkett of the Hallton Church. Interment will be in Ott Cemetery. 
Friends will be received at the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, from 6-8 p.m.
