JOHNSONBURG – The much-anticipated rematch between two of the top five ranked teams in Pennsylvania Class A basketball didn't disappoint.
Lincoln Park would win the rematch with Johnsonburg 77-59 Tuesday night in front of an overflow crowd at Johnsonburg Area High School.
Lincoln Park came into the game ranked No. 2 in the state while Johnsonburg was ranked fifth.
"It's a regular-season game and I think playing a game like this in a playoff atmosphere will prepare these boys hopefully to play in the playoffs at a high level," Johnsonburg coach Bill Shuey said. "I'm satisfied. I'm satisfied with what we did. The kids didn't quit. Hey, this is the No. 2 team in the state, come on. We did OK."
