Mary Ann Simchick

Mary Ann Simchick, 76, of 321 Woodland Ave., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 11, 2011, at Bradford Regional Medical Center in Bradford following a short illness.
She was born Dec. 13, 1934 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Frank and Rose Budzinski Kissel.
On June 16, 1956 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Joseph L. Simchick, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2006.
She resided in Johnsonburg all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1954.
Mrs. Simchick was employed by Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital as a darkroom tech for 35 years, retiring in 1997. She had also worked at Stackpole Carbon Co.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church.
She is survived by three sons, Daniel J. Simchick and his wife Lisa of St. Marys, Kenneth Simchick and his wife Cynthia of St. Marys, and Alan Simchick and his wife Margaret of Johnsonburg; a daughter, Leslie, Mrs. Charles Goble of Bradford; 10 grandchildren, Alexandra and Olivia Goble, Whitney Krupa, Danielle, Jessica, Steven and Gregory Simchick, Tia Kephart, Alaina Simchick and Damen Ordway; a great-grandchild, Mitchell Kephart; and a sister, Patricia Wilhelm of Johnsonburg.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan R. Simchick.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Simchick will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Saturday at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
