Milliard pleads guilty to firearms charges

July 8, 2014

Francis Anthony Millard, 56, of Ridgway, pleaded guilty Monday afternoon in federal court to charges of conspiracy to possess firearms by a convicted felon.
In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that Milliard entered into a conspiracy with David Arthur Blashaw, 57, in order for Milliard to possess firearms while being a convicted felon. According to David J. Hickton, U.S. attorney for the western district of Pennsylvania, Blashaw stored numerous firearms for Millard in a safe at his residence. Milliard was precluded from firearm possession because of three prior felony convictions but reportedly continued to obtain and possess firearms and ammunition despite being prohibited.
