Nellie Mae Stump

Nellie Mae Stump, age 84, of Myrtle Street, Johnsonburg, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her daughter's home in Leeper after a short, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 22, 1929 in Big Run, daughter of the late Irvin and Ruth (Wachob) Henry.
She was married to Robert Stump, who survives. The couple would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary Aug. 16.      
A graduate of Johnsonburg High School, she was a cook with Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital for 10 years and a homemaker. She was a member of Johnsonburg United Methodist Church and the Junior Women’s Club. She truly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an excellent cook.
She lived all her life in Johnsonburg.
She is survived by three children, Larry (Trudy) Stump – Heber City, Utah, Sandra (Gary) Gerber of Ridgway, and Cheryl (Rudy) Kocjancic of Leeper; one brother, Irvin “Hank” (Doris) Henry of Syracuse, N.Y.; one sister, Shirley (Ed) Hanson of Johnsonburg; four grandchildren, Kristen (Jamie) Williams, Kasey (Shelly) Kocjancic, Kelsey Kocjancic and Zach (Beth) Gerber; three step-grandchildren, Gary Gerber Jr., Eric Gerber and Curt (Katie) Gerber; five great-grandchildren, Kaden, Landen, Presten, Rudy and Lucy; six step great-grandchildren, Lily, Josie, Lydia, Hank, Nick and Jonah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and three sisters, Betty Henry, Mildred Liston and Louise “Sis” Morse.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Jay Tennies presiding.
There will be no public visitation.
The family will be receiving friends at the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 10-11 a.m.
Interment will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery
The family suggests memorials to the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice, 271 Perkins Road Clarion, PA 16214 or the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
Ubel Funeral Home, 111 Bridge St., Johnsonburg is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
