Pasquale (Pat) Scutella Jr.

Pasquale (Pat) Scutella Jr., 89, of 524 Cherry Ave., Ridgway, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at Pinecrest Manor following an illness of the past several months.
He was born June 30, 1925, in Calabria, Italy, the son of Pasquale and Maria Caminiti Scutella.
On May 10, 1947, he married Rose Migliazzo at St. Callistus Church in Kane, and she survives.
He had been a Ridgway resident for 67 years. He was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, and the Ridgway Elks and senior center. He was a life member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He served on the Ridgway Borough Council for 20 years and was president for 12 years. He was an avid gardener. Mr. Scutella had served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a veteran of WWII. He was a longtime distributor for Sealtest.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, John Scutella (Lori) of St. Marys; two grandchildren, Brandon Scutella (Shauna) of St. Marys, and Daniel Scutella (Jilissa) of Curwensville; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Isaac, with a third on the way; a brother, Tony Scutella of St. Marys; and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers, Dominick, Frank, Phillip and Joe Scutella.
A Memorial Mass for Pasquale (Pat) Scutella Jr. will be celebrated at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 11 a.m. Celebrating will be Fr. Brian Vossler, pastor. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements, are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Pinecrest Manor, 763 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, PA 15857.
