Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency [PEMA] officials were in the area Thursday to assess the damage from Wednesday's flooding that ravaged Elk County, particularly Ridgway where standing water in some areas reached well over four feet.
Detailed numbers regarding home and business damage, and monetary damages were not readily available Thursday evening as PEMA teams were still analyzing data at the county's 911 Center.
Mike McAllister, director of Elk County's Office of Emergency Services, said teams were still working Thursday evening to assess the damage.
