Pet owners express outrage over tainted jerky treats

Pet owners are expressing their concern over Chinese imported chicken jerky dog treats, which have been reported to cause serious illness and even death in dogs, particularly over the past two years.

Public outcry from pet owners whose dogs have become ill or died after consuming chicken jerky treats imported from China is on the rise. Numerous online petitions, advocacy groups, chat forums and Facebook groups have cropped up within the past year, with their efforts aimed primarily at having the treats removed from stores.
