JOHNSONBURG – Starting off on the wrong foot Friday night doomed the Ramettes.
Johnsonburg and Curwensville were evenly matched for three quarters but the Ramettes were unable to overcome at 14-3 first-quarter deficit, succumbing to a 51-42 loss.
"We started off extremely slow and I had to call a timeout and ask them if they had 'cement in their shoes,'" said Johnsonburg head girls varsity basketball coach Crystal Galsick following the loss. "I wondered where our team was but in the third quarter we started to bring it together and in the fourth quarter it looked like we wanted it but it was a little too late."
