Ramettes use offensive outburst in doubleheader sweep over Sheffield

Johnsonburg's Raimi Akers heads toward second base during the second game of Monday's doubleheader against visiting Sheffield. Akers was 3-for-4 in the second game, scoring twice and bringing in two runners.

JOHNSONBURG – The Johnsonburg Ramettes added two more to the win column Monday and scored runs at an explosive pace in sweeping a doubleheader against Sheffield.
The Ramettes won the first game 10-0 in five innings with starting pitcher Jenna Hoffman throwing a one-hit gem; the team followed that performance with an 18-5 win over the Lady Wolverines, also in five innings.
