Rams advance to D-9 baseball semifinals

May 23, 2013

Cole Peterson finished with 10 strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Coudersport.

JOHNSONBURG – Johnsonburg baseball is back in the district semifinals.
The Rams had timely hitting and a strong starting pitching effort to win 3-0 over Coudersport in the District 9 Class A baseball quarterfinals Thursday afternoon at Knothole Area Recreational Park.
Cole Peterson struck out 10 for the Rams in a complete game effort. Coudersport had three hits against the junior pitcher.
"Cole threw real well," Johnsonburg coach Jeff Peterson said. "He was riding high a lot and that goes to show from not throwing a lot off this mound. Overall, I think he threw well for not throwing a lot this year. Cole started dropping his curve in there real nice, he used the knuckleball a couple times for strikes."
