Rams advance to tournament finals with 60-33 win over Crusaders

ST. MARYS – The Johnsonburg Rams advanced to the championship game of the Elk County Boys' Holiday Basketball Tournament with a 60-33 victory over the Elk County Catholic Crusaders Friday night at St. Marys Area.
The Rams will meet the Ridgway Elkers tonight at 8 p.m. for the county tournament crown. Elk Catholic will meet St. Marys Area this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the consolation game. Ridgway defeated St. Marys 64-48 in the other contest.
The Johnsonburg zone defense in the first half was able to control the game and set the tempo as Elk Catholic used their patient offense in an effort to slow down the Rams' offense.
