JOHNSONBURG – Johnsonburg baseball lost 7-3 to Smethport to open the 2014 season Tuesday afternoon at Knothole Area Recreational Park in Johnsonburg.
Miscues hurt the Rams in the season opener as Johnsonburg made four key errors which led to Smethport's runs. Three of those errors came in the outfield on relatively routine flyballs. Johnsonburg coach Jeff Peterson said he thought the outfield would be something that needs improved but expected better quality than what was displayed Tuesday.
