Raymond L. Romaine

Raymond L. Romaine, age 79, of Whetstone Road, Brockport, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1934 in Clarksburg, W. Va., son of the late Arthur and Denise Jumet Romain.
On July 30, 1955, he married Patricia Ann Wetzel, she survives.
He was a 1953 graduate of Victory High School. He is a lifetime member of the NRA. He was proud to belong to the Pheasants Forever #640 and to help with the organizations Youth Program.
A member at the Lighthouse Community Church in Brockway, Ray will be remembered for his love and skill at gun repair and custom gun work throughout the U.S. He opened his first shop in 1965 and retired from the business in 2010. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army as a M.P. from December of 1956 to December of 1958 and was stationed at Ft. Myers in Virginia.
He was employed as a Mould Maker starting with Hazel Atlas in 1954, and retired from Brockway Mould in 1998.
In addition to his wife, Patricia Romain of Brockport, he is survived by one son, Timothy Romain, also of Brockport; one daughter, Francine (John) Cilladi of Parkesburg; five grandchildren, Becky (Josh) Partner of Ephrata, Amanda Cilladi, Josiah Cilladi, Cindy Cilladi and her fiance Craig Scott and Matthew Cilladi, all of Parkesburg; one great-grandson, Jonah Partner; one sister, Emilia (John) Asha of Bridgeport, W. Va. and one sister-in-law, Joyce Romain of Philippi, W. Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Roger and Albert Romain.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Community Church, also in Brockway, with Rev. Victor Baxter presiding.
A Committal Service is to follow at Beechtree Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lighthouse Community Church's building fund or Pheasant Forever #640 Youth Program.
