May 15, 2013

Josh Mitchell finished with 18 strikeouts for Ridgway in a win over St. Marys Wednesday afternoon.

The Ridgway Elkers handed the St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen a 10-2 loss Tuesday night at Berwind Park on SMA's Senior Night.
The Dutch seniors and their parents were recognized prior to the start of the varsity game.
The contest was tied at two going into the seventh inning. The Elkers came up with eight runs on five hits in the top half of the seventh inning to open a 10-2 lead.
"We had a rough first inning," said Ridgway coach Mark Morelli. "We haven't played in a week and we had a little rust to shake off."
