Ridgway boys golf won 205-222 over Johnsonburg on a rainy Thursday afternoon at Laurel Mill Golf Course.
Individual medalist honors were split among four different golfers. Josh Roselli and T.J. Schlimm shot 39 for Ridgway while Cameron Grumley and Nate Burgeson did the same for Johnsonburg.
“Some nice playing under tough conditions for the first group,” Ridgway coach Dave Zawatski said. “Our depth once again was the difference.”
Jesse Reynolds had a 40 for Ridgway and Josh Mitchell followed with a 43. Morgan Eckenroth carded a 44.
For the Rams, CJ Herbstritt had a 45 and Quinn Luhr finished at 46. Caleb Hefright finished at 53 to round out Johnsonburg’s team scoring.
Mitchell Gilmore had a 45 for Ridgway while Matt Aiello finished at 46. Jake Klawuhn carded a 47.
For Johnsonburg, Tyler Martonik had a 55. Dave Sallack finished at 62 and Taylor Feronti had a 65.
The focus will shift to the final round of the District 9 boys golf championship Saturday morning at Bavarian Hills. Roselli, Schlimm and Grumley will all be competing for a chance at a district title and a regional qualifying spot.
“We would like to wish Cameron good luck on Saturday,” Zawatski said. “We will be pulling for him, Josh and T.J. to place in the top eight to move on and represent District 9 at regionals.”
