Ridgway downs DuBois Central Catholic in AML South matchup

January 15, 2014

Jeremy Breier pivots in the lane for Ridgway against Dane Aucker of DCC during a 49-41 win for the Elkers. Breier led Ridgway with 23 points, Aucker led DCC with 13 points.

After DuBois Central Catholic downed Johnsonburg last Friday, the Cardinals (7-4) couldn't make it two big wins in a row as Ridgway won 49-41 over DCC Tuesday night at Ridgway Area High School.
"DCC coming off that big win against Johnsonburg, they had the setback against Curwensville but we knew they were playing well," Ridgway coach Anthony Allegretto said. "We know how much they hustle, how much they work. We knew how well-coached they are. They shut down our offense by packing in the middle, and we have to hit some shots. In the early going, we had some trouble."
