Ridgway minor league all-stars host Warren
The Ridgway minor league softball all-stars hosted Warren on Wednesday night with Warren winning 10-0 in four innings at the Ridgway Little League fields along Grant Road. Warren starting pitcher Julia Lobdell was a dominant force on the mound as she finished with 11 strikeouts and three walks without surrendering a hit in her four innings pitched. Warren was able to put the game out of reach with a 6-run third inning. Warren already led 4-0 heading into the inning when Gracie Wood singled to start the inning. Lexi Head walked and Riviera Bennett singled to plate Wood for a 5-0 lead. Kiersten Hoffman singled and Grace Wortman grounded out to third. Head added a run on the groundout for a 6-0 lead. After Celia Chase walked, Hoffman scored on a wild pitch and Trinity Wennberg roped a 2-run single which scored Wortman and Chase. Wennberg would later score on a wild pitch for the game's 10th run. Ridgway had three runners reach via walk. Brooke Thomas earned a 2-out walk for Ridgway in the third inning. Ridgway had a promising rally in the fourth inning as Jordan Bundy and Alyssa Kasmierski each walked to start the inning. Lobdell then struck out the next three Ridgway hitters as part of a strong pitching performance for Warren. Wennberg opened the game for Warren by reaching on a Ridgway error. After Alexis Nyquist singled, Lobdell grounded out which scored Wennberg from first. Wood then hit a ball past the Ridgway outfield and circled the bases for a 2-run inside-the-park home run which pushed the lead to 3-0. Warren added a run in the second inning as Wennberg singled to score Hoffman. Hoffman led off the inning with a hard-hit single. Ridgway starting pitcher Bundy finished with two strikeouts in three innings for the minor league all-stars.
