Officials at the Ridgway YMCA are preparing for the 33rd Annual Ridgway Triathlon scheduled for Saturday, April 26, starting at 11 a.m.
As of Thursday evening, 124 participants had signed up, including 14 ironwomen and 27 ironmen
"I have never seen that many individuals entered ever," said Mary Lynne Bellotti, executive director at the Ridgway YMCA. "I've been doing this for over 10 years and the event is in its 33rd year. We will keep doing this as long as there is interest."
The triathlon consists of a five-mile run, 15-mile bike ride, and nine-mile canoe trip on the Clarion River. A kayak division is is offered for ironman and ironwoman divisions.
