Ronald B. Jordan

Ronald B. Jordan, 76, of 5285 Grant Rd., Ridgway, died Friday morning, Aug. 1, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys.
He was born April 7, 1938 in Parker, son of the late Arnold J. and Mary (Latshaw) Jordan.
On June 20, 1959, he married Catherine A. Arrowood. They had celebrated 55 years of marriage this past June.
He was a 1957 graduate of Parker Area High School.
He had resided in Ridgway for many years, and he was a member of the American Legion and the Elks.
He had enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, and woodworking.
He served in the U.S. Navy, and he was a peacetime veteran. He had also been self-employed as a truck driver.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Donald (Debbie) Jordan of Brockway and A. John (Barbara) Jordan of Ridgway; five grandchildren, Christopher (Dana), Joseph, Kendall, Kyle and Andrew (Shannon); two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Bobby; two brothers, Jack (Shirley) Jordan of Erie and James (Susan) Jordan of Ridgway; two special nephews, Aaron and Eric; a special niece, Mary Beth; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for Ronald B. Jordan will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m with military honors accorded by the Ridgway Servicemen's Burial Detail. Officiating will be Ronald L. Burkett, pastor of the Hallton Church. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 3 from 5-8 p.m.
