Sarah T. Nappe

Sarah T. Nappe, 90. of 17 Penn Ave., Ridgway, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
She was born January 21, 1923, in Brockway, the daughter of the late Ben and Sara Bonavita Aquilino.
On June 7, 1947, she married Alfonso M. Nappe, he preceded her in death on July 6, 2009.
Mrs. Nappe was a long time Ridgway resident. She was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church., C.D. of A. and the Contessa Lodge of the Sons of Italy. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and reading. She also enjoyed her family and friends, especially the extended family of Sam and Rose Delhunty.
She is survived by two children, Michael Nappe (Darlene) of St. Marys, Celeste Woodsmall (Bill) of Ridgway; three grandchildren, Erin Bellavia (Rand) of Williamsville, NY, Justin Nappe (Leslie) of Pittsburgh, Kevin Woodsmall of Littleton, Colorado; and a great-grandchild, Xander Woodsmall.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Art Nappe; a brother, Joe Aquilino; and two sisters, Jennie Dixon and Cora DeSantis.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Committal services for Sarah Nappe will be celebrated at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:30 am., with Fr. Brian Vossler, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Friday, May 3, 2013, from 5 – 8 p.m.
