School district adopts final budget

Photo by Gian DeLoia – The Ridgway Area School District adopted the 2011-2012 General Fund Budget during a special board meeting Monday night.

The Ridgway Area School District held a special board meeting Monday night to adopt the 2011-2012 General Fund Budget with total revenues and expenditures of $12,023,105 as presented at the May board meeting.
The budget was not approved at the regular school board meeting held June 14 when board members Lucy Bobby, Kathy Lampman and president Eugene Pierce voted in favor of the general fund budget and board member Bill Seely voted against it.
On Monday night, the motion was carried to adopt the budget on a 5-1 vote.
