JOHNSONBURG – Johnsonburg Area School District Superintendent Dennis Crotzer reported receiving a letter of accommodation from the Pa. Secretary of Education Ronald J. Tomalis during Thursday night's regular board of education meeting.
In the letter, Tomalis congratulated the district for the accomplishment shown by the audit of operations for fiscal years ending June 30, 2008 and 2007.
Crotzer took time in his monthly report to read aloud from the letter issued by the Department of the Auditor General.
"The Department of Education would like to inform you that the audit report of the Johnsonburg Area School District did not contain any findings or observations for these years in accordance with procedures established in management directive 325.10. It is a pleasure to commend you and your staff for this achievement."
Crotzer acknowledged the staff for their work.
"I am very proud of what we have accomplished and I would like to [acknowledge] everyone that has worked very hard with all of the finances," Crotzer said. "This is a very very good accommodation when they come and they do the audits and everything is clean. I am so proud to be a part of this and I [acknowledge] everybody for all of the hard work you have done to accomplish this."
