St. Marys senior softball stars beat Elk County 12-2 in five innings

Skylar Sherry of the Elk County senior softball all stars heads for third base and eventually home to score the first run of the game for the Elk County stars on a triple by Britnee Thorwart.

The St. Marys Little League Softball Senior All-Stars advanced to the finals of the District 10 Senior Tournament with a 12-2, five-inning victory over the Elk County squad Monday night at Benzinger Park.
St. Marys used the one-hit pitching of Sydney Hoffman to record the win. Hoffman went the distance for St. Marys giving up one hit, walking two and striking out nine.
Hannah Park started on the mound for Elk County going four innings giving up three this, walking nine and striking out four. Jaylie Johnson faced four batters in the bottom of the fifth, giving up two hits and hitting two batters.
