Thompson visits St. Marys during campaign tour

KERSEY – U.S Rep. Glenn "GT" Thompson (R-5) visited St. Marys Friday evening to announce his bid for re-election this year.
Speaking to a group of about 30 constituents at the Red Fern in Fox Township, Thompson said he was honored and privileged to be among friends who feel more like family.
The four-day “whistle stop” tour encompassed over 800 miles with 24 stops in 16 counties which the congressman completed in a mini-bus. Friday's leg of the tour included stops in Titusville, Franklin, Tionesta, Clarion, Brookville, DuBois, Brockway, St. Marys and concluded at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield County. Many of the congressman's visits were to restaurants and cafes.
