William A. "Bill" Liscinski

William A. "Bill" Liscinski, 83 of 624 Maple Ave. in Ridgway and formerly of 304 Clarion Rd., Johnsonburg died on the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following a brief illness.
He was born on December 1, 1930 in Johnsonburg, son of the late John and Mary Gulash Liscinski
He married Dorothy Polaski on August 25, 1951 in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. She survives.
Mr. Liscinski resided in Ridgway for the past several years. He lived most of his life in Johnsonburg and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1948.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and loved spending time in the woods, donating his time and teaching swimming. He was an avid hunter and Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan.
Mr. Liscinsk was employed by Penntech Papers, Inc. for 44 years, retiring in 1993
In addition to his wife at home, William is survived by three sons and one daughter: William L. Liscinski and his wife Coralyn of Hot Springs, Ark., Mark E. Liscinski and his wife Kimberly of Albrigyhtsville, Pa., Richard E. Liscinski of Euless, Texas and Kathlee M. Detwiler of Ridgway.
He is also survived by six grandchildren: Lauren Cooley, Lynn Zitta, Anna Liscinski, Mary Catherine Liscinski, Ryan Liscinski and Caitlin Liscinski; one great-grandson Anderson Cooley; and one sister, Theresa Zameroski of Ridgway.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Raymond "Dutch" Liscinski and Joseph Liscinski, and a sister, Helen Silcoski.
A Mass of Chrtistian Burial for William A. Liscinski will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Rev. David J. Wilson, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place at the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Tuesday, Aug. 26 from 6 - 8 p.m.
